کیلی ایک امریکی خلاباز ہے اور امریکی بحریہ سے ریٹائرڈ کپتان ہے، کیلی کو نومبر 2012 میں بین الاقوامی خلائی اسٹیشن کے لئے ایک خصوصی طویل مشن کیلئے منتخب کیا گیا، جو مارچ 2015 ء میں شروع ہوا۔
اسکاٹ کیلی ناسا کیلئے کام کرتے ہیں اور وہ اس سے پہلے بھی خلاء سے مختلف ممالک کی تصاویر شائع کرچکے ہیں۔
